The Power of Words

Most Christians do not realize the power of their words in determining the out come of their lives and whether they will fulfill their destiny or not. We need to understand that our words are creative because we who are made in the image and likeness of God are creative.

The apostle James gave real insight into this when he wrote.

James 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. James 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

James is saying that it is our tongue that controls our lives and determines the course of our live as a rudder does a ship. It is not the set of the sail or the wind that ultimately determines where we end up in life it is the rudder, our tongue.
